Big shout out to James and all the boys and girls of Ashbourne who showed us a rocking time on Saturday night! Slippery nipples are really something only the young should drink, not us older types. The heads on Sunday were not the best. Great gig tho, loadsa fun, so thanks one and all!

So another Patricks Weekend has come and gone. Usually for us, this is the start or our 'year', and this year was no different. We began on Saturday, playing to an estimated crowd of 40-50000 (by the end of our set anyway!) on the Quays in Waterford. Following us were Kila, then a fantastic fireworks display. We had a great view from beside the stage, and almost managed to win the Lotto, which was drawn live from the quayside that night too.

Then a brief break, and on Monday, all piled into the cars for a spin to Belfast, to take part in the Patricks Day concert. Long aul haul, but worth it. This was our second time playing this particular concert, last time we were there, it was the first time they had done it. We played to approx 6000 Eoghan Quigg fans, who, despite none of us being Eoghan Quigg, screamed so loud, it kinda hurt our ears.

Coming soon, we're playing a private party in Ashbourne, followed closely by another trip to Limerick for Easter Sunday. Hope to see y'all soon somewhere!

Andy and I shall be appearing on Rob O'Connors Irish Beats on Beat FM this Sunday (8th) at around 7pm, to plug our upcoming gigs, shoot the breeze, create mayhem and annoy his many listeners with our silly tales of percussion. Feel free to text in your thoughts, the winner will get a lock of Andy's hair...priceless

Howdy y'all, tis been a long time! Sorry about that, but passwords to edit this page were lost/forgotten, hence nowt happening!

So how was our 2008? Fab! Loadsa fun, played many festivals, as a 5 piece and also the full 6 piece. Some folks within the group have changed their instruments, we had a special guest appear wth us in Poland, we have played gigs with broken hands (misdiagnosis of which bones were broken too, but he still managed to play!), twisted ankles (damned cobblestones in beautiful Italian village up the mountains), played weddings (big up to Tadhg and family - savage time!), and rang in the new year in 5 star style at the Trinity Rooms, Limerick - massive thanks to Joe et al for that - we were even allowed to bring friends! We played outdoors in Cashel on the October Bank Holiday weekend, in the freezing rain - great laugh tho, except for the whiteners thrown later that night, damn Morgan Spice Rum...Poland again was fantastic, over there for 5 days this time, managed to find the time to sample more of the city (Lodz is a beautiful city - despite the rain!). For the Polish gigs, we had Steve Haberlin playing with us, world reknowned wit and feckless gadabout, but man, is he a spectacular drummer/percussionist. Hopefully we'll get more time to Jam with him in the future...

We had our ups and downs in 2008, but overall, the ups far outweighed the downs...

So what's in store for 09? Well, the gig offers are coming in thick and fast at the moment, unable to mention exactly what/where/when yet, as negotiations are ongoing, but if all comes to pass, we'll be all over the country again this summer. As they say, watch this space!

Promises for more updates, photos, links to peoples vids of us playing to come in the next few days...

Peace out...

Hello all,

Summertime is here, and the gigs are starting to pile up!

Firstly, huge thanks to all who showed up and enjoyed us at this years Dublin Docklands Festival, we had a ball, played 4 gigs on the acoustic stage in glorious, fantastic weather, the mood up there was amazing and as for the food, well, all I can say is those garlic prawns were what kept us all going all weekend! Here's to next year!

We're in the process of putting the finishing touches to our new dvd - it's taken us soooo long to finally get here, so massive thanks to Lofty & Bertie, without whom this wouldn't have been possible. It'll be on the site as soon as possible.

We'll also have a CD out soon enough, it's a live CD, so rough and ready, but you'll get the idea of what we're all about. Will be available to buy at gigs, or you can send us an aul email and we'll post one out to you.

Plans for the Spraoi festival are afoot, or should I say 'ashore', looks like it's gonna be a deadly weekend (as always) so mark it in your diaries people, it's gonna rock!

Big thanks to Waterford Arts Office, who saw fit to sub us a few quid - much appreciated!

And best o luck to Simon, our sexy lil snare drummer, who's off to work in a bar in Alicante for 2 months - never worked an honest day in his life, so we're looking forward to hearing his tales of workin for da man!

Dats it for now, see y'all in Limerick on July 4th, and elsewhere around the country in August/September.

Peace out y'all

Hello all, how's it all going out there in the real world? Delighted to say we've finally got the website figured out, so we can post things up more regularly without having to bother our poor site designer all the time! We'll be putting up more pics of last years adventures and some movies 'n' stuff too. If you're really stuck and want to rekindle those old memories of our half naked antics, just search on youtube for Torann, and you'll be satisified!
Delighted to announce the arrival on the planet of the first lil Torann baby. He's already shaping up to be a possible lil drummer boy, but I think his da would prefer him to be a prop on an international rugby team! Big up to Cillian from all the band, we're that awful racket that disturbed you in your Mothers belly last summer!
If you're floating around the metropolis of Dublin during the Patricks Festival in March, come along to Merrion Square on the 16th (Sunday, you're all off, it's a bank holiday weekend, you've no excuse!) where we're playing with other international groups as part of the Big Day Out. Hopefully it won't be as cold or snowy as last year, so maybe, just maybe, you might see some topless action! Then it's into the fun bus and back to Waterford for a gig at Traffik in the Forum later that night - definately some topless action there, I reckon! And then some of us get to participate in the parade the next day - we'll say no more of that tho!
We've also signed up to a site called Band For The Day (http://www.bandfortheday.com/) where you can view us, play our song and vote for us to be the sites 'band for the day'. There's a live recording of one of our tracks on it, apologies for the dodgy quality, but you never know, we might one day be their 'band for the day'.
Thats it for the mo, keep an eye on the site for new pics and stuff, and we'll have more news of gigs coming up, wonderous events happening and general social commentary.
